Trash to Treasure

Greenspan

When I created the parrot for Vivian, I had some extra pieces and created something with them (instead of putting them back in the cramped box).

I named this piece, Greenspan, because I like how it looks like it’s expanding off the canvas. In this span of green is also looks like a flower, a signal that spring is approaching with things in a state of renewal or growth.

  • Shows Greenspan from the front side with the piece down flat.
  • Shows Greenspan from the left side with a slight angle.
  • Shows Greenspan from the right side with a slight angle.
  • Shows a close-up of Greenspan from the right side with a slight angle.

At this time, I also see myself growing from last year and from years past. Before jewelry and upcycling, my growth was primarily academic. Once I began creating jewelry and upcycled works of art and selling jewelry online, I keep experiencing external forces pushing me to grow, and that’s not a feeling, rather they are things like, I need to learn about shipping, photographing, and reporting and paying taxes to the government. This growth is scary because I’ve never done anything so big and bold, nonetheless, there is no turning back.
