Pride Necklace

Last month, I posted a bracelet that could be worn by either gender and everyone in between. (*Quick update: I was able to give him the bracelet last week). My goal was, and still is, to create more jewelry that is inclusive, and I’m still working on it.

I made this pride necklace a while back, but it wasn’t a necklace originally, but a bracelet. The bracelet didn’t work out too well because it was too difficult to close by oneself. I kept the curved design of the beads, because I like the unique shape. Since I turned it into a pendant, the necklace highlights the wearer’s face from below.

The necklace has a simple chain and clasp, and the design is not too feminine or masculine, so everyone who conforms or doesn’t can wear it. At 22 inches, it’s a longer necklace than what I usually make, so it’s more inclusive. With the pendant wrapped onto the chain, the pendant stays put as you move around in your busy life.

As I wrote in my previous post, this is only the beginning. I have another pride design coming and it will be dazzling. My goal is to post it in June for Pride Month. In the meantime, I hope to have more inspiration to post a pride piece every week in June.

Bonus!

Light show when the pendant is in the light.

The Pride Necklace's pendant is held up with the sunlight shining through, creating a beautiful rainbow light show on the table.
