Toilet Roll Snowflakes

Make snowflakes just in time for the holidays.

These snowflakes are very simple and take minimal materials to make compared to others on the internet. This can be a fun idea to do with kids while staying inside during the winter. When enough is made, they can be used as home décor.

  • There are two snowflakes made from toilet paper rolls. There is a purple one and yellow one. Both have six points, thus, using six pieces glued side by side until they come full circle. Each component is in the shape of a diamond or parallelogram. Both the purple and yellow have three painted on the outside and three painted on the inside of each parallelogram. Materials

  • 1 toilet paper roll
  • Paint
  • 1 paint brush
  • Container (as needed)
  • 1 ruler
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 1 pencil
  • Glue
  • Toilet paper roll can be substituted with a paper towel roll
  • Paint can be substituted with markers

I color my snowflakes with paint or markers because other snowflakes use glitter. Glitter is plastic and terrible for the environment. In addition, once you use glitter, it’s EVERYWHERE.
