My second entry in Sue Vincent’s writephoto prompt.
I don’t remember how my sister and I got into a conversation about taking a helicopter ride.
I didn’t think we would go through with it
I’m afraid of heights
And yet,
Here I am
Doing something I’ve never done before.
My stomach rumbling like bubbling lava
I clench my sister’s hand for the entire ride
If I fall, I’m taking you with me! I shouted over the loud propellers and motor
The wind on my face and through my hair,
My eyes almost closed shut
My problems seem so small from all the way up here.
Look at me doing something that scares me.
Thanks for reading.
It is liberating to face and overcome fears 🙂

So brave, and something you will always remember. But would you do it again?

I say “no” but one never says “never.” Thanks for reading.

Hi Leanne. First time visiting you. Sometimes to have a hand to clench as we move toward greater bravery … it means everything.

I agree, otherwise, most of the time, it would feel like facing our fears alone. Facing my fears is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
