A Dose of Pink Princess

I was in regular contact with a doctor as his patient and we were building rapport with one another.  So one day, I asked about his wife and daughter (he mentioned going to his in-law’s house to repair a wooden plank on their deck, but it turned out to be a huge job, because the person who put their gutter in, chose to direct the water onto the deck, causing the deck to rot.  He would proceed to fix it as his in-laws watched his three-year-old daughter).

The inner bracelet is has 5 pink bicone crystals - 2 small light pink, followed by a larger hot pink bead (that's twice the size of the small bicone), then 2 light pink, and the remaining bracelet has 22 small round black beads.

I asked about his wife’s favorite color(s) – purple and black – and his daughter’s favorite color – “like all little girls,” said the doctor, it was pink.

For the mom, I had three choices for purple and two choices for black.  It features three ceramic white beads with purple flowers, eight lavender round beads, and 19 round black beads.  I thought that the doctor’s wife might appreciate the artwork on the ceramic beads, so that’s why I strung them at the center.

For the daughter, I had limited choices in pink with these two types of bicone crystals – small light pink and larger hot pink.  The bracelet consists of four light pink bicones, 1 larger hot pink bicone and 22 small round black beads.  I’m not around kids, so I thought this might fit.  How big can she be?

There are two bracelets. The outer one is for an adult and the inner one is for a child. The outer bracelet has three medium sized lavender round beads, followed by a large ceramic bead that's white with purple flowers, then a lavender bead, a ceramic bead, a lavender bead, a ceramic bead, and 3 lavender beads, so 8 lavender beads and 3 ceramic beads for the front. The remaining part of the bracelet has medium-sized round black beads and the bracelet measures 7 inches in length. The inner bracelet is has 5 pink bicone crystals - 2 small light pink, followed by a larger hot pink bead (that's twice the size of the small bicone), then 2 light pink, and the remaining bracelet has 22 small round black beads.
Purple, pink, and black

To my surprise, the doctor informed me that his three year old daughter is the size of a five-year-old.  So he asked me to make the bracelet larger, adding about 7 more black beads (the black beads are the same size as the small pink bicones).

I strung the new bracelet and I didn’t like the design, because I designed it to have the pink crystals highlight the top of the wrist.  By adding more black beads, more black beads will show.  So I changed the design to add more pink crystals so they cover more of the wrist with a two to four black beads showing from the sides, as you can see from the image below.

It’s a bow!

There are 9 pink bicone crystals on the front and 24 small round black beads. There are 3 small light pink bicones, then a larger one (twice the size), then a small one, another larger one, and 3 small ones. This sequence of 9 bicone crystals create a bow. The remaining of the bracelet has round black beads for comfort and easy slip-on and -off.

According to the doctor, his daughter loves the bracelets.  She wore the purple and black bracelet on her leg.  For the pink one, she’d put it on, then right before she drank water, took the bracelet off and gave it to her dad to hold while she drank, then took it back to wear again.  According to the doctor, “she loves that thing.”  This made my day.
